Myoreflex Therapy
Myoreflex Therapy has been evolving since the early 1990s, drawing on a wide range of scientific disciplines, insights, and therapeutic traditions.
It was developed by Dr. Kurt Mosetter and is based on an integrative, holistic approach to health. The therapy combines the knowledge and wisdom of ancient healing systems, such as Ayurveda and Traditional Tibetan Medicine, with findings from modern physics and contemporary academic medicine.
The goal of Myoreflex Therapy is to support the body’s natural balance, improve movement patterns, relieve tension, and promote long-term health and well-being.
The Therapy
Myoreflex Therapy is a manual regulatory and pain therapy that aims to restore functional balance within the musculoskeletal system. Through the targeted stimulation of specific pressure points at muscle attachments and musculotendinous junctions, neuromuscular regulation of the entire movement system is encouraged.
These therapeutic impulses help the body re-establish healthy, pain-free movement patterns and functional anatomical balance. As a result, pain and other physical complaints may be significantly reduced or resolved.
At the same time, Myoreflex Therapy utilizes connections within the body’s meridian system, providing access to a wide range of bodily functions and organ systems. This makes it a holistic treatment approach that goes beyond symptom management and supports the body’s natural regulatory processes.
What may initially appear to be unrelated elements from different medical and philosophical traditions are brought together within Myoreflex Therapy to form a unique, multidimensional therapeutic model that integrates ancient healing wisdom with modern scientific understanding.
