Strength Through Stretching

According to Dr. Kurt Mosetter

For many years, there has been ongoing debate about whether stretching exercises are beneficial and, if so, in what form. Scientific studies have produced partly contradictory results.

One principle, however, remains undisputed:
Lasting stability is achieved through targeted strengthening.

The key question is therefore not whether stretching should be performed, but how strengthening and stretching can be intelligently combined to improve movement quality, stability, and physical performance.

The KiD (Strength Through Stretching) concept developed by Dr. Kurt Mosetter is based on this principle. It combines active muscular strengthening with specific stretching techniques to support healthy movement patterns, improve posture, and enhance overall physical function.

Strength and Flexibility in Balance

When muscles are trained primarily within a limited range of motion or repeatedly loaded in shortened positions, muscular imbalances can develop. Functional stretching is therefore not viewed as an isolated intervention, but as an integral part of a balanced movement system.

The better training, strengthening, and stretching are aligned with the natural organizational principles of the nervous system, the more efficiently the entire musculoskeletal system can function.

Efficiency Through Functional Movement Chains

Key principles include:

  • Optimal ranges of motion (ROM)
  • Activation of both agonist and antagonist muscle chains
  • Controlled strengthening from lengthened positions
  • Training against resistance (e.g., gravity, resistance bands, or manual guidance)

This approach creates stability not through excessive muscular tension, but through coordinated force generation across the entire movement system.

Goal of the Method

KiD strengthens the body where mobility and stability work together. The focus is not on isolated muscle strength, but on developing functional, sustainable performance, improved movement quality, and long-term physical resilience.

Galileo Vibration Training

Galileo-Training

The Galileo vibration training system by Novotec is characterized by its alternating side-to-side movement, providing an effective and adaptable training stimulus within a frequency range of 5 Hz to 33 Hz.

At frequencies between 5–12 Hz, the device offers an ideal platform for relaxation, recovery, and neuromuscular regulation. Between 13–20 Hz, it enables gentle and targeted muscle training throughout the entire kinetic muscle chain.

At frequencies above 20 Hz, neuronal pathways and deep stabilizing muscles can be specifically activated and trained. This supports optimal synchronization of the entire musculoskeletal system and promotes precise neuromuscular coordination.
Galileo Therapy Table

The Galileo Therapy Table allows the gravitational load on the body to be adjusted through its variable tilt angle. This enables highly individualized treatment and training, even for people with neurological conditions such as:

  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

The Galileo Therapy Table can also be used effectively with elderly individuals, including those of advanced age. In combination with Myoreflex Therapy, it helps improve mobility, coordination, and overall therapeutic outcomes.
